Fifteen years ago this month, the beautifully synaesthetic Rez was released for the first time in the United States. Beyond the Tron -esque aesthetic that helped it become one of our absolute favorites , though, the game was notable for its unforgettable peripheral: something called the Trance Vibrator. The odd little battery-pack shaped device was never released in the US; it was the sort of strangeness that was, at the time, entirely the purview of the Japanese side of gaming. The Trance Vibrator's only function was to buzz and bump in time with the on-screen music, delivering haptic feedback alongside the audio track's bass.

A Hi-Rez Studios community manager was arrested last week in a Georgia child sex sting, and has since been removed from employment at the studio. Variety reports that Thomas Cheung was one of 21 arrested over a five-day period beginning January 30 during a Super Bowl-related sting near Atlanta, Georgia. Cheung specifically has been charged with "using a computer service to seduce, solicit, lure, or entice a child to commit an illegal act," though additional charges may be forthcoming.
This research examined adolescents' written text messages with sexual content to investigate how sexting relates to sexual activity and borderline personality features. Four days of text messaging were micro-coded for content related to sex. Following 12 th grade, participants reported on their sexual activity and again completed a measure of borderline personality features.
